The AWG is the world’s largest circumpolar multi-sport and cultural event. It is a celebration of athletic competition, culture, friendship and cooperation between circumpolar (northern) contingents. Athletic competition features sports that enjoy worldwide popularity alongside traditional Arctic Sports and Dene Games.

When are the Games?

The 2024 Arctic Winter Games will be held March 10th through March 16th, 2024.

Where will the Games be held?

The Games will take place in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley (Mat-Su Valley) in Southcentral Alaska.
